Meet Our Board of Directors

Our board is made up of five community members with diverse backgrounds who all share the goal of helping to conserve Michigan's natural resources.

Board meetings are the second Tuesday of every month at the Alpena office at 4 pm. A full schedule of our meetings are listed on our events calendar on the home page.

Board of Directors
Nathan Skibbe - Chairman
Nathan serves as the Alpena Township Supervisor and has been a very active member in Conservation for his entire career. We are happy to have him on board as he will be a great asset to our CD's mission.
Jim Chapman - Vice Chairman
Jim is a retired DNR Conservation Officer.  He currently runs a small cow/calf operation in Alpena county. His Farm has received MAEAP Verification in Farmstead, Cropping & Livestock systems. He is a member of the Huron Shores County Farm Bureau and the Alpena MSU Extension Advisory Committee.
Nico Tucker - Secretary/Treasurer
Nico works as a Transportation and Resource Planner for Northeast Michigan Council of Governments. He has also worked with the Conservation District for many years as the lead in river restoration projects in our counties. Nico has also assisted the CD in creating our Montmorency County Plat Books. We are extremely happy to have him join our Board and to continue providing us with some great resources.
Collin Beyer - Director
Collin currently runs a family owned farm in Alpena County and works for Conveyor Systems in Alpena. Collin's experience in the cattle industry and as a family owned farmer brings a lot of great knowledge to our Board. We are so happy to have him as part of our great team!
Mike Timm - Director
Mike is a returning board member of ours that has served for many years. His vast knowledge of the CD's history is an excellent asset to our CD. He has been a farmer in Alpena County and has participated in many of our programs that the CD offers.
