Who We Are & What We Do

Alpena-Montmorency Conservation District FOIA Policy
The Alpena-Montmorency Conservation District is a local unit of government that has been operating for more than a half century. We are geared at the protection of our natural resources. We have technical staff that can assist our private landowners and local units of government better understand, plan, manage, protect, and utilize our natural resources for current and future generations of Alpena and Montmorency counties.  We are an entity of state government and currently hold four grants (Bovine TB, CTAI, MAEAP, and FAP) from the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

WEEKLY ARTICLES
Each week an article will be published in the Montmorency County Tribune, on our website, and on our Facebook page. These articles cover a variety of subjects related to soil conservation, trees and programs and services offered by the District.
TREE SALES
Tree sales are held in the spring, with final orders due the end of March with pick up dates at the end of April. We also have a fall sale that usually winds up in September. Our Tree Sale Brochures will be published on the website before each sale for residents to order their trees along with brochures being mailed to our customers on our current mailing list. You can always be added to our mailing list by just contacting our office. Walk-in sales are always welcome during our Seasonal Sales.
